Amanda Chacón named a 2023 Beinecke Scholar

We are delighted to congratulate Amanda Chacón, a third-year student majoring in Art History, Anthropology, and Latin American Studies for being named a 2023 Beinecke Scholar. Beinecke Scholars are selected for their academic excellence, their potential to succeed in graduate study and beyond, and most notably, their ability to formulate unique questions that contribute to their chosen field of study.

Each year, the University of Chicago may nominate one student for this nationally prestigious award. Amanda is one of approximately 17 students to be named a scholar this year, and she is the fourth University of Chicago student in four consecutive years to win this award.
