Internships
Internships in the Visual Resources Collection, Department of Art History, are available on an ongoing basis. Students in MLS programs are encouraged to apply to gain field experience in a VR setting. This internship will expose the student to curatorial aspects of a VR collection including collection development and maintenance of an analog collection. Digital technology will be the main focus with hands-on experience in database development, design and maintenance, digital copystand work, as well as digital image creation and storage. Instruction in cataloging techniques including CCO and VRA Core are also available (see http://www.vraweb.org/ccoweb/index.html and http://www.vraweb.org/vracore3.htm for descriptions). The student is encouraged to tailor an internship to their personal interests. Hours and dates are flexible.

Student Employment
Work-study jobs in the Visual Resources Collection, Department of Art History, are available periodically. These positions are for the full academic year. Students work approximately 10 hours a week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hours and dates are flexible. The pay rate is $10-$12 per hour depending on qualifications. Desired skills include familiarity with Photoshop, attention to detail, and reliability. Knowledge of Art History is a plus.
