9:30am-12pm; lunch to follow, 12-1pm, at the Logan Center Seminar Terrace Room 801
Recurring art and architectural festivals have produced some of the world’s most memorable visual and built forms. This symposium explores the ways in which “festivals” have promoted new modes of experience and spectatorship, new relationships between exhibition and sites, and new networks of international exchange and institutional structures. With Sara Herda (Executive Director, Graham Foundation,) Sean Keller (Associate Dean of Research abd Associate Professor, Illinois Institute of Technology,) and Solveig Øvstebø (Executive Director and Chief Curator, The Renaissance Society.)
