Meghan Doyle

Biography

Meghan Doyle is a PhD student captivated by the aesthetic strategies of the counterculture in the postwar United States and who pursues its antecedents in earlier Western contexts. Her recent work investigates both the collaborative nature of Chicago-based artists in the 1960s-70s and the efficacy of alternative rationalities during moments of political dissent. Prior to graduate school, Meghan trained as a Post-War and Contemporary Art specialist at an international auction house and held positions at the British Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art. Meghan holds an MA in the History of Art and Archaeology from the Institute of Fine Arts, with whom she excavates at the Sanctuary of the Great Gods on Samothrace, and BAs in Art History and Italian from Pepperdine University.
