Art History Faculty W.J.T. Mitchell Receives CAA Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award

Awards for Distinction jury has named Art History faculty W.J.T. Mitchell as the recipient of the 2024 CAA Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award for Writing on Art.

By honoring outstanding member achievements, CAA reaffirms its mission to encourage the highest standards of scholarship, practice, connoisseurship, and teaching in the arts. With these annual Awards for Distinction, CAA honors individual artists, art historians, authors, curators, and critics whose accomplishments transcend their individual disciplines and contribute to the profession as a whole and to the world at large.

Following historical precedent, the 112th Annual Conference Convocation will include the official presentation of the Awards for Distinction.

Convocation will be held the first evening of the 2024 Annual Conference, Wednesday, February 14, at 7:30p.m. The event is open to the public. See more information here: https://www.collegeart.org/
