Chinese Art and Dynastic Time

Congratulations to Wu Hung! We are absolutely thrilled that his work Chinese Art and Dynastic Time has been named a #PROSE finalist for the Art History and Criticism PROSE award by the Association of American Publishers (AAP). The 2023 PROSE Award entries considered by the AAP judges illustrate a wide breadth of excellence, diversity, and merit in all areas of academic study. Chinese Art and Dynastic Time looks at Chinese art's development across millennia in its original cultural, sociopolitical, and artistic contexts and how these narratives interweave with contemporary artistic creation.

Wu Hung is the Harrie A. Vanderstappen Distinguished Service Professor and Director at the Center for the Art of East Asia and a Consulting Curator at the Smart Museum of Art.
