CWAC Exhibitions invites you to join artist curator Taylor Pate to celebrate the opening of the LAND as they left it with conversations and a light reception.
The LAND as they left it highlights the changes made to the natural landscape of Chicago’s Washington Park and Lakefront Trail in the wake of the forced removal of many Indigenous people from their ancestral lands. Taylor Pate's photographs display the land both as a memorial site to the past but also as a reflection on the occupation that continues to this day.
