Beyond Boundaries: A Symposium in Honor of Wu Hung
Bringing together students, colleagues, and collaborators, Beyond Boundaries: a symposium in honor of Wu Hung reflects on Wu Hung’s interdisciplinary methodologies that have bridged ancient and contemporary art, regional traditions, and global frameworks over the past four decades. Planned panel presentations and roundtable discussions seek to illuminate how Wu Hung’s work has expanded the boundaries of art historical inquiry, connecting object and system, material and concept, and the past and future, all while inspiring new models for understanding, exhibiting, and engaging with Chinese art in a global context.
