Yifan Zou


Yifan ZOU studies late imperial Chinese art and architecture. Yifan received her MA from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a BSocSc degree from the University of Hong Kong, where she double majored in geography and art history. Prior to starting her PhD, Yifan has held internships at the Princeton University Art Museum, the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts at Penn, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art; worked on book conservation, curatorial research, exhibition catalog editing, and museum collection database management tasks.  

Her research interests are late imperial Chinese art and architecture; representation of famous sites and buildings in diverse artistic mediums; Chinese garden construction and landscape painting; Mesoamerican architecture and urbanism.
