Biography
Yangkun Lu is a PhD student in East Asian art history, focusing on the visual and material culture of middle-period China. His current research interests lie in cross-cultural exchanges through and beyond the Silk Road network as reflected in Chinese art during the third to tenth centuries. Yangkun received his MA from the University of Chicago with a thesis on tomb figurines excavated from a Tang dynasty burial.
