Biography
Sila's dissertation, "Where Art Begins and Ends," traces a history of how museum security operations have constituted art's boundaries in conversation with art conservation. She proposes an emergent, alternative lineage of Modernism called Dark Modernism, which encompasses the subsidiary category of Modernist Picturing."
