RAVE: Rowanne Dean

Please join us for a presentation by Rowanne Dean (Art History PhD Student). She will be presenting her QP titled “Long-Memoried Images: A Celtic Revival Shrine for the Irish Free State.”
Luke Fidler (Art History Ph.D. Candidate) will offer a response.
Rowanne Dean is a PhD student studying western European high- and late-medieval art and material culture. Her research interests include metalwork, the medieval treasury, luxury objects, and historicizing styles. She also studies the history of modern medievalism in western Europe and the United States, with a particular interest in the spaces between the academic study of medieval art and artistic reinterpretation of medievalist aesthetics.
Luke Fidler is a PhD candidate in art history. He is currently a Paul Mellon Predoctoral Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts at the National Gallery of Art.
