RAVE: Max Koss

The Research in Art and Visual Evidence (RAVE) Workshop provides a forum for University of Chicago graduate students––and the occasional faculty or outside speaker––to present their works-in-progress whose research centers on art or any type of visual and material culture. RAVE provides visually-minded scholars from across the university with the opportunity to receive feedback from art historians, while also ensuring that art historians think broadly and experimentally about their projects.

VRC Launches New Collections

The Visual Resources Center is pleased to announce several new collections in the LUNA database, the main database for art images for teaching and research at UChicago. In recent years the VRC has focused on expanding the documentation of art exhibitions, spaces, events, and collections on campus.

Suzanne Deal Booth gives Endowment for Conservation Teaching

The Department of Art History has received a $1 million gift from Suzanne Deal Booth for the funding of art conservation courses and internships.
