Catriona MacLeod wins Women in German Best Article Prize

Congratulations to Catriona MacLeod, the Frank Curtis Springer and Gertrude Melcher Springer Professor in the College and the Department of Germanic Studies, for winning the Women in German Best Article Prize for her article, “Invisible Sculpture, Latent Violence, and Monumental Parody in Mädchen in Uniform,” which was published in Seminar: A Journal of Germanic Studies 55, no. 2 (May  2019): 128-143. Awarded annually by the Coalition of Women in German, the prize recognizes original new research that makes a significant contribution to the scholarship in the field of feminist German studies. MacLeod is an affiliated faculty member with the department and works in the area of German eighteenth- and nineteenth-century literature, aesthetics, and the visual arts.
