Sam Park

Biography

Sam Park is a practicing architect and lecturer.

Sam's upbringing in the Near West Side of Chicago to immigrant parents has shaped how he thinks about the built environment. He believes in the democratization of beautiful spaces and structures--that great design should be accessible to all. His interests include materiality, spirituality, and the effect a space has on the mind and body.

Sam is the founder of SANG CHAI PARK, an architecture practice based in Chicago. His previous experience includes designing master plans for an electric vehicle startup, and building award-winning residential, commercial, and institutional projects at John Ronan Architects. Sam holds a Masters in Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelors in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
